Fiber and water: Usually with gastroenteritis, people have diarrhea. But if you're stopped up, fiber + water is one of the best ways to have a bowel movement. Insoluble fiber from fruits and vegetables is best. Stool softeners and other otc meds like MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) can help too. Narcotics and minimal exercise make constipation worse. Best of luck!
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
