If a person has contact with a covid person how long does person need to wait to be tested? an employee was in contact and tested negative a few days later, do we still quarantine for 14 days? how long does virus need to incubate before being tested

Testing policies : differ in different areas. Where I am at, the contacts can be tested once they are identified. Incubation is usually within 2 to 14 days.
