A member asked:

Why do i feel a sharp pain in my back when i inhale? should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sharp pains: I assume there has been no recent injury. A common cause is a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs. These tend to resolve on their own. With no other symptoms, pleurisy, pneumonia, pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism are unlikely possibilities. See your MD if symptoms persist or worsen.
