African American persons may have a higher risk of serious infection due to higher rates of underlying conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Persons of any race can prevent contracting covid by thorough hand washing/santizing, wearing a mask, avoiding contact/crowds, and maintaining optimal sleep, nutrition.
