Does the size of a population make a difference in outcomes during an outbreak like the coronavirus pandemic?

Yes, it could be.: More than the size of population, population density has an important role in spreading of contagious diseases. Population density is the amount of people per square mile. So, it is expected that cities, where population density is higher, amount of cases be higher. However, preventive measures must be applied everywhere, since transmission mechanism is the same independently of population density

Density: I think that what is more important than the absolute number of people is the density of the people in that particular area. New York City is an example - it has a very dense population and was hit very hard by COVID 19.
