It’s a real fear! : At age 29, unless you already have a diagnosis of cancer, you should not be getting frequent CT scans. Every CT scan does expose you to radiation, and the total dose of radiation adds up to increased cancer risk over time. So you want to be sure to only have CT scans when you really need them.
