No benefit: Antibiotics have no effects on viral infections. Some COVID patients develop secondary bacterial infections that need antibiotic treatment, but otherwise antibiotics are not effectie in treating COVID or other coronavirus infections.

Antibiotics & COVID: SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID 19 infections. Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections. Antibiotics are not used to treat viral infections. But they could be useful for secondary bacterial infections.
