Several possibilitys: 23 yo with no bc pills reported and first time for menstrual irregularity. This may be related to problems with the ovaries no longer functioning correctly; or it maybe you have a polyp in the uterus or 'fibroids' or less likely other tumors in the pelvis. Thyroid dysfunction or blood disorders must be included in the possible causes. Most commonly, it is hormonal irregularity. So see md soon.
