A member asked:

After missing one sprintec birth control pill and having unprotected sex that day can doubling up the next day and the one after be used as an emergency contraceptive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BCP ?'s: Low dose oral contraceptives are still effective at pregnancy protection, but missing one of the 21 active pills may start withdrawal bleeding, however, taking two pills may not stop light bleeding, so if this occurs, stop all pills for five days, then start a new pack, and take them punctually, within the hour of taking the previous day's active pill.
