Not necessarily: Uneven breasts may be normal for you, a hormonal imbalance, breast cysts or tumors. You should see a primary care physician or gynecologist for a clinical breast exam. Bloodwork checks for hormones. Breast cysts and fibroadenoma (benign tumor) are diagnosed by ultrasound. Breast cancer is diagnosed by a biopsy based on a breast ultrasound, mammogram, or MRI.

No: Asymmetry of the breast is quite common. Very few women have symmetrical breast. The left breast in most women is usually slightly larger than the right. The difference in size may be up to 20 percent. However, a sudden change in breast size may need an investigation by your doctor.
