Yes: metronidazole is commonly used in pregnancy. Try to look into ways of preventing BV. Chronic antiobiotic use can throw your entire digestive/vaginal flora off balance. Probiotics are hotly debated. If you are not eating a diet that supports a balanced bacterial symbiosis, then probiotics are probably useless. Flagyl/pregnancy ?'s: Metronidazole (Flagyl) in the second trimester is associated with pre-term birth, and should be avoided. There are other antibiotics which can treat vaginal "BV". Ask your OB provider about alternatives.
