I have a swelling on my c section (in 2009) and it seems to be suddenly swelling more by day. now it has become very painful compared to the last few days when it started. it is not associated with my period. what could be causing the swell and pain?

See: someone, your doctor or gyn Asap. Too many variable to speculate but a hernia is a possible which is not an emergency, other things should be ruled out.
