Irregular period: When menstrual periods are not normal, the first thing to check is a pregnancy test. Over the counter urine pregnancy tests are pretty reliable. If the pregnancy test is positive you should contact your primary care provider. If it is negative and your next cycle is normal there may not be a need for concern.
