My son is 7 years old, will be 8 at the end of may. i just recently noticed light colored hair on his scrotum, some measuring about 1/4 inch. there was no hair to be found at the base of his penis. no other symptoms of puberty. is this a normal?

There should be fine light colored hair by that age in most, Much of such hair & even body odor are influenced by the adrenal glands separate from puberty. If he develops a stronger appetite & seems to grow faster it would be an indication things are moving prematurely.
