Re infected: If he has any eye pain, please see an opthalmologist. He most likely has pink eye or conjunctivitis. There are different causes including allergic conditions, viral and bacterial infection. The latter is usually associated with thick matted mucus. Please see your pediatrician. Rinse the eyes gently with saline, use good hand washing and change linens/towels frequently.
