Yes and no: Viruses are very picky about their environment. Since they infect humans, they prefer liquids typically found in the human body. Tears, saliva, nasal discharge, etc. In larger bodies of water such as bath, pool and ocean, things like soap, chlorine and high salt kill the virus.
