Coronavirus: Corona in spanish means crown, it was named like that because te virus has a crown shape.

CORONAvirus: If you look at covid viruses under an electron microscope the virions are surrounded by a halo shape or "corona". Corona means crown in Italian and in Latin is it is a garland or chaplet.
