Yes: Multinodular goiter is a disease in which the thyroid presents nodules. This nodules are benign, produce thyroid hormone like your father's case which causes the symptoms. These nodules need further investigation due to the risk of developing thyroid cancer in the future. Visit an endocrinologist, this is treatable.
