Coronavirus in water: Current data has not documented transmission through reclaimed water, and treatment practices should remove it .Reclaimed water does not remove /inactivate all bacteria and viruses and is not for drinking purposes. COVID 19: Great answer by Dr. Gliksman. Yes, it can survive in sewage - which is actually one way that the infection can be tracked in cities. However, treated water in this country tends to be very high quality.
