Spread: If you go to CDC they have a number of articles expressing that the virus is not in the water. I am unaware of of this being a significant way to transmit. However consider the following: If you are under 50 the risk of death is 0.2 percent. Now the risk of death from influenza from 2018 to 2019 was 0.6 . Things are possible, but odds are good not an issue.
