Ice/Motrin: She may have a cold compress, ibuprofen for pain and a splint. Please see your PCP and an image is indicated.

Hand Injury: To evaluate hand injuries, you need to see if she can move all her fingers to the extent she could before the injury. She may need to have an xray to make sure no bones have any breaks in them. Sometimes it can be confusing because swelling can limit the motion of the fingers or wrist.
