I have been experiencing lower abdominal pains for about a month now. the pains come and go. the pain is sharp and it feels likes my muscles are contracting. sometimes even during sex my lower abdomin would also hurt. i don't know what's going on ?

Exam needed: Your symptoms warrant an examination by either a GP, gynecologist, gastroenterologist or abdominal surgeon. Ultrasound of the pelvis will most likely be recommended as part of the assessment. Ovarian pathology or pelvic inflammatory disease are possibilities.
