Tylenol, capsaicin: Paracetamol (aka acetaminophen or Tylenol) is not an anti-inflammatory medication, and it may be used for arthritic pain. Other options are creams containing capsaicin that may be applied to the skin over the joint. You’ll want to mention your plans to your doctor so s/he may take your new medications into account with regard to any other medications you’re taking, now or in future.
