A member asked:

I have really bad toenail fungus and i'm pregnant is there anything i can use to get rid of it within 6 months and do i need prescription?

Need permission: You should not take any medications, either prescription or nonprescription ones, without an ok from your obstetrician. There are nail polish medications for toenail fungal infections that are felt to be safe during pregnancy but not during breastfeeding. I'd be reluctant to ok them for use during pregnancy, however. Why don't you wait to treat your toenails after pregnancy or breastfeeding?
