A member asked:

Since there are some supplements on the market for down syndrome. are these effective?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not effective.: Medical studies have shown that there are no proven benefits of giving patients with Down syndrome nutritional supplements. There are many websites claiming otherwise, but the vast majority of these are run/sponsored by companies wanting to make a quick profit off of a vulnerable patient population. A regular multivitamin would be fine, but the unregulated megadoses pushed by others can cause harm.
