Would changing to a high lysine and low arginine diet be beneficial for someone who has hsv2 but is asymptomatic?

Lysine for herpes: Lysine for herpes isn't quite quackery, but it comes close. Lysine modestly inhibits growth of HSV in the laboratory, but lysine treatment or diet has never been shown to have any effect at all in people with herpes: no change in severity of infection, outbreak frequency, or anything else. If you find such a diet tasty, feel free, but do not rely on it to have any benefit for HSV2 infection.
