Complex : Those who passed away usually are usually elderly and/or suffered from a co-morbid condition such as obesity, COPD, diabetes, HTN, etc. Plus many die because of barotrauma from the high PEPP setting on the vent.

Possibly differences: If people had conditions like hypertension, obesity, cardiac disease, chronic pulmonary disease, renal diseases- maybe it was better controlled before getting infected.
