Adrenal insufficienc: Bilateral adrenal hemorrhage will cause acute adrenal insufficiency resulting in decreased cortisol, aldosterone and perhaps sex hormone, as well as elevated ACTH, renin, etc. As a consequence, there are significant electrolyte abnormality, such as sodium loss, volume depletion, and hyperkalemia, etc. Symptoms include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, low blood pressure, weight loss.
