A member asked:

Im not allergic to milk but my doctor said if you have bronchial asthma dont drink milk cause it causes mucus is that true??? and can i still drink milk??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't think so: Having treated asthma patients for decades I know one of the common features is a thicker mucus production. I have never related this to diet, as it seems to be part of the genetically determined factors they all have. I consider the idea milk is a problem to be more myth than fact. Drink milk if you want.
