Lateral epicondyliti: Lateral epicondylitis or "tennis elbow" is a common injury caused by repeated movements of extension against weight (eg a tennis backhand serve). Depending on severity of pain and limit to motion, an xray or even an MRI may be necessary. Therapy starts with rest, anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy but chronic (lasting more than weeks) pain needs to be assessed and may require more.
