Im starting escitalopram soon. is it still fine to take buspirone on an as-needed basis? how likely is serotonin syndrome a real problem when taking these together?

Possible : Taking buspar on an as needed basis is not likely to be super helpful, really would be better to have a higher dose of lexapro if more anxiety control is needed. For buspar to be effective (like most psychiatric medication) a certain blood level is necessary that requires taking the medication regularly so that the medication can build up to the needed blood level.
