I have had my tonsils removed when i was about 3 years old. i am now 27 and seem to have tonsilitis. kindly advise what i can use to get better and why they would come back after so long?

The issue: The upper airway & swallow tube are lined with tonsil like tissue from the back of the throat to your anus. Removing the tonsils only takes out the most visible/prominent of these local sites. You can & likely will get throat infections periodically through life if exposed to invasive germs. They can be strep or viruses. They would likely not be as intense, but will happen. Get a strep test.
