Risks vs. benefits: Haven't heard of any current ban against travel to Thailand, but travelers should check websites for travel bans (such as the State Department site in the US) and check public health sites for disease outbreak issues (such as the CDC site in the US). If a couple has been having a perfectly normal pregnancy and a realistic view of life, then traveling with wisdom and common sense should be fine.
