A member asked:

13 days old baby's skull looks like it is separating in the front, is this normal or i need to take him to get checked out?

Good idea: That would be the only way to see if the baby has a problem or not. His doctor can examine him, head and all, and measure his head circumference. He probably has his 2-week appointment anyway, since he is already 13 days old. If he has no appointments, and his doctor is far, far away, a video consultation with his doctor might suffice.

Fontanelle?: It is normal for infants to have an anterior fontanelle which is a soft spot in the front of the head. Please schedule a visit with your pediatrician or a video consult with Healthtap online.
