A member asked:

I tried for a month to do intermittent fasting, doing fasting for 16 hours and eating for 8. i cut my calories intake from over 5000 to 2000 calories a day. but at the end of the month i gained weight. what am i doing wrong? are there things i should

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Show Dr. your math: One must consume fewer calories than he uses or he will not lose weight. Even if he eats apparently small amounts of food, and exercises a lot, the laws of nature do not change... meaning there will not be weight loss until the number of calories taken in to his body is less than the number of calories burned up each day. Math always holds true for normal, healthy people without hormonal problems.
