BV? STD? See doctor!: Vaginal yeast usually causes little if any odor or discharge. The main cause of discharge with strong odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria, but also with STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, or trichomonas, and these go along with yellow discharge. See a doctor ASAP. Stop douching with vinegar or anything else; it increases the risk of serious complications like PID.
