Don't do it: This won't do any good at all and could be irritating and make yeast symptoms worse. Vaginal yeast infections need medical treatment. There are excellent over-the-counter drugs, including single dose oral fluconazole (Diflucan), or any of several vaginal creams -- look for active ingredient ending in "azole". If any doubt about the diagnosis, or if OTC treatment doesn't work, see a doctor.
