3: Although the number is arbitrary, researchers have to call those who pass the virus onto more than 3 people are superspreaders. Interesting some people pass on to none. Variables are infectivity, but also social. Some contact more people than others.

Depends on disease: A super spreader transmits more disease to others than is average. During the initial SARS outbreak a superspreader was described variably as a person who spread infection to 8 to 10 people. The number depends on the illness that is being spread.
