Time to see doctor: Many women have occasional variation of their vaginal discharge, some spotting between periods, a heavier or a lighter period, a longer or a shorter period, or even a missed period. Temporarily having one of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean there is a medical problem. However, anybody who pees out blood clots needs to visit her primary care doctor or Ob-Gyn doctor.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
