I recently was diagnosed with a bartholins cyst & its not infected but the pain its giving me is excruciating. now this morning i woke up to my right butt cheek swollen, red, and when i touch it it burns . anyone knows what this means?

This means it is...: It is time to visit one's primary care doctor or Ob-Gyn doctor. If a person had a cyst full of stuff under her skin, and then woke up with the nearby skin red, tender, and swollen, she most likely will ask herself, "Did my cyst burst and send infected stuff into the fat under the skin next to it?" That's the same question the doctor will be answering after a good exam, hopefully very soon.

Cellulitis?: You might have misunderstood your doctor. It sound like you have an infection and that it is spreading. A Bartholin cyst without infection would not be painful. Spread of infection to the buttock sounds like cellulitis, and overnight spread suggests it is quite serious, even dangerous. See a doctor ASAP, even if it means a holiday visit to an urgent care clinic or emergency room. Good luck.
