Maybe, but...: Statistically, that might not be a common thing. Haven't seen any scientific reports of the incidence of people with herpes types 1 and 2 in exactly the same location. The way to find out would be to swab outbreaks and identify whether only one or both viruses are in one single body location. Probably not worthwhile to do except in special situations (ask primary care doctor).
