Go back to ER!: You should not still be having pain 1 week after beginning an antibiotic to treat the supposed cause of the pain. Go back to the ER as soon as possible to get treatment that works this time. Good luck!

Abdominal pain: I'm not convinced that a UTI was responsible for such discomfort. I agree with Dr. R that you should return to the hospital emergency room for reevaluation and retesting. An uncomplicated UTI in a young woman doesn't present with severe abdominal or pelvic pain. I'm concerned about pelvic inflammatory disease or other pelvic or intestinal pathology. ?A consultation by a gynecologist or surgeon.
