The pain is sharp in the left side of my upper abdominal. if i take a deep breath it feels worse.

Exam needed: A physician should examine you if this symptom persists. Possibilities include a strained abdominal wall muscle, spleen or pancreatic pathology, inflammation or gas entrapment in the splenic flexure of the colon. Shingles has a rash that appears after a few days. If the pain occurs more in the lower left chest, lung causes are possible.
