A 33-year-old female asked:
I've read that a woman's body temperature rises right after ovulation. by how much does it rise and how long does it remain elevated? would the woman be able to tell if her temperature has risen just by how she feels?

BBT chart: A Basal Body Temperature chart (BBT) is used to detect the subtle effect of the rise in the female hormone progesterone in the second half of the menstrual cycle post ovulation. The temperature doesn't vary much over the baseline, but it will be sustained over the time it is present. You usually are unable to detect the rise just based upon how you feel. The temp should be taken in early a.m daily
