Nuristerate: Nuersterate is an injected form of a progesterone analog, and an effective contraceptive agent. This kind of hormone may cause ovulation delays, which in turn can allow estrogen to stimulate the lining of the uterus and cause "spotting". Pregnancy is 98-99% prevented. If the spotting continues, see your gyn physician for an exam and possible change to another contraceptive agent.
