i have a 27 day old baby. she is coughing and had a wheezing chest yesterday. she shows no signs of distress nor of struggling to breathe. she has no fever and sleeps and feeds well. should i be worried about the coughing under the circumstances???!

Basics: The first months are troubled by narrow nasal passages & exposure to dust, fragrances, smoke & other irritants.This often ends as congestion & produces rattling or coughing with breathing. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline & suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment & this will happen less.
