All are right: Docs are right as what they feel as the lump is benign, likely a lipoma, and you are right that probably something else is causing the pain, abdominal muscles not necessarily the lump. What will give you reason to be concerned would be the pain getting worse or any other unexplainable symptoms. Otherwise what would be your reasons for concern?
