Brain storm: Group of conditions characterized by sudden bursts of abnormal electical activity of the brain. It may produce seizures that result in abnormal perception of taste, smell, vision, numbness, tingling, shaking and loss of consciousness. It may be caused by among others, infection, tumor, genetics, stroke, or trauma. Treatment includes anti-seizure meds, or medical or surgical rx of the cause.
