Menstrual ?'s: Bleeding as described may not be mentstrual in nature. If pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain. Pregnancies outside the uterus (ectopic) need immediate attention, and bleeding like this can occur. Other causes of bleeding may be fibroids, miscarriage, or polyps, so see your gyn physician if the test is negative.
