A member asked:

Can you get infected by meat that was bitten by a monkey before being cooked?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on details: Such meat presumably is from an animal killed to be eaten. If the question is whether or not monkey germs would infect the diner (person doing the eating), the answer is NO if the meat is cooked well-done. However, the diner could get infected (food-poisoning) if the cooked meat got contaminated by germs after cooking. If prions are in the meat or monkey... well, that's a different story.
